Featuring Sinead O'Connor, Beth Orton, Tori Amos, Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses) & Patti Smith
The first of two nights in homage to 18th Century English poet, visionary and artist, William Blake featuring Patti herself along with a host of diverse artists. The event is billed as an evening of protest songs and lullabies and will focus around children. Sinead O'Connor will appear onstage in London for the first time since 2003 having announced earlier this year that she is returning to her musical career and recoding 3 albums concurrently. The Brit award winning, gorgeous talent of Beth Orton will also be on hand to contribute on the evening. Beth released her debut album, Trailer Park, back in 1996 and has collaborated with a truly enviable range of artists in her career including Ryan Adams, Johnny Marr, The Chemical Brothers and Emmylou Harris. Tori Amos will also make an appearance following her sold out tour of the UK. Also contributing on the night will be Kristin Hersh, herself a solo singer but also the leader of the great 80's college band Throwing Muses and its spin off, 50 Foot Wave, who released their latest album, Golden Ocean, to critical acclaim in March of this year.
